All I was trying to do was install it on a single workstation for which I had a valid, legal license. I once recall having a problem installing MATLAB on Solaris and found it was possible to go on a 2 week course on Flexlm. You really do not make life easy for yourself when you don't give sufficient information for anyone to help you. It the license tied to a single machine, or is there a network license server. How about giving us the version of HFSS? Have you read the installation guide? The error message you post sounds like a license issue. I have tried changing the compatibility to xp also but no use. You can install to vista in xp compatibility mode. My suggestion is to downgrade or dual-boot windows xp.
